Die In The Service

One Sunday morning, a pastor noticed that little William was staring up at the large billboard in the foyer of the church.

The billboard was covered with names, and small American flags were mounted on either side of it. The boy had been staring at the billboard for some time, so the preacher walked up and stood by the boy, and said gently, “Good morning William.”

“Good morning preacher,” said the young boy still staring at the billboard.

“Preacher, what’s this?” William asked.

“It’s a memorial to all the men and women who died in the service.”

Seriously they stood together, staring at the large billboard.

Williams’s voice could barely be heard when he asked, “Which service preacher, the 11:00 or the 6:00?”
