Love

Ask your question at the Bottom of the Page.

Q. Did God make man and then loved him or did God love man and thats the reason he made him or was it that after a period of time he chose to love man? How did Gods love of man come about? (Anon)

A. God is Love! 1 John 4:8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. & 1 John 4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Now to the meat of the matter, God creating man in Gods own image is an act of love in itself. Gods gift of dominion over the earth also could be nothing more than an act of love. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (God loved man from the beginning because man's creation was an act of love in itself!)

But lets get to the True Love manifested by God! These last scriptures were spoken by the Savior himself and say it all about Gods Love! - John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Think about it!
