The Beginning and the End - CHRIST JESUS

Ask your question at the Bottom of the Page.

Q. This was presented this way in Sunday service by our ministry pastor, and since I am not fond of her approach or her teaching, I just wanted to check and balance myself. In the Lord's Prayer, is this saying let your kingdom reign now, let heaven be brought to earth through us according to Your will? Or is it saying to let your millenial rule on earth come and make heaven on earth real according to Your will? I always thought the second one, but don't want to cut short my learning or understanding because of some personal differences? [Kathy]

Thanks Tim!

A. The best quote I can give you Kathy is: John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. and yet the Lord told us to pray: Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Since Jesus knew His kingdom existed then as it does now then it most likely isn't the Kingdom we are praying for to come. Right?

Notice the way that Paul wrote these verses and see if you catch what he is saying. 1st Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The Kingdom of God comes in the end and we will be delivered to it.

So when we see references to Christs Kingdom, we see verses like in the book of Revelation where John says: Revelation 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Mentioning the Kingdom of Christ Jesus which consists of those who made Him Lord of their lives. There is a distinct difference here in kingdoms because those who are Blood bought and Saved are in the Spiritual Kingdom of Jesus Christ which will not end at the last of the 1000 years but be replaced by a new heaven and a new earth where God the Father will be with us forever and ever.

The final is where the Kingdom of God is complete and is a literal physical Kingdom. This is the one we are praying to come. Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Q. Please explain Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 11:7 when GOD SAID LET US GO DOWN.

A. The passages you are talking about, "Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. <=> Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." are speaking of the Unity of God. That is the Father (God), the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit.

As a matter of fact, according to the scriptures, Jesus is the one of the Three who was named as the Creator. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. <=> John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

With our carnal minds, it's hard to believe that three separate Beings are also One. This is the truth of the of our God! Jesus told all plainly that he was one with the father. John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 10:30 I and my Father are one.

And then he told the disciples John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Consider Gods Word, the Bible. This devine book even speaks of the this Unity by showing the personalities of all three. The Old Testament is the nature and personality of God the Father. The first four books of the New Testament are the nature and personality of Jesus Christ the Savior. The remainder of the books are speaking expressly of the Holy Spirit guiding the Church. Then all three are shown in Revelation.
