Can A Christian Lose Their Salvation

There’s a lot of folks out there who are having trouble separating the Spiritual from the natural. What exactly do you believe is saved when we are Saved?

Is it this natural body? No this body is sin and God will not have any part of that! Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

This flesh has to be crucified daily so that the Holy Spirit can work in us. Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 3:6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: and 1st Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. In other words we are to keep the flesh from sinning by spiritually killing it off daily.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Is it this mind of mine? No, it’s tied to a carnal body and therefore subject to being carnal! Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. and Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. & Romans12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Then what is it that’s Saved? The only thing left that can be saved is your soul! James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. and James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. and Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. and 1st Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Jesus had tried to get Nicodemus to understand this and like many today, he just couldn’t get past his carnal mind! John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. :3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

We are reborn in spirit, something this carnal mind and body cannot corrupt because once born again we are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. I have many times wondered why Ephesians 4:30 has been ignored by so many! If the Holy Spirit come into us to dwell are we mighty enough to remove the seal that He’s placed on us? Another question I have for you is answered plainly here. Jesus said: John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 10:30 I and my Father are one. Is anyone, (including ourselves) able to pluck us from His hands???

Now, I would guess that some of you would ask, “How on earth could we be saved and still sin”? Well, if you are child of God, you won’t get away with un-repented sin for long! Hebrews 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? So I ask you, if it were possible that we loose our salvation, would that make us stronger then God? I mean, Jesus said: and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand! Didn’t he?

I have strayed so far away from our Lord after being baptized by emmersion in 1999 that i fear spend eternity in the lake of fire. I continue to try and return to my savior daily thru prayer but always seem to return to my old ways. Have i or am i in danger of losing my salvation. I am scared!

If you had salvation, God’s not going to take it from you nor can you walk away from it. He’ll certainly chastise you for not living as you should…
