Purpose

Reasons for this book

You might ask me why I have such a burden for the modern Baptist Church. I can sum it up in one phrase:

• If anyway will do, no way will do just as well.

I have in my library, a dictionary of the different religions which sprang up in the latter part of the 19th Century through the 20th century. The book is over 4 inches thick and each page is dedicated just to one particular sect and their oddities. The majority listed there is of the Charismatic persuasion. Digging even deeper in this book I find where many sprang out of the Baptist faith or have their roots closely tied to them. What a pity. So much division and very little agreement in the body of Christ. It seems that they have grasped just any ole way to worship and have ignored what the scriptures really tell us concerning how we are to conduct ourselves.

How could this have happened? Well, at the root of the problem is most likely Satan himself trying to confuse the Word of God with counterfeits. Another may be that man is getting tired of hearing that WE NEED a Savior. While still others are wanting the Lord God to be a djenie of sorts where if they just rub the Bible like a magic lamp and quote the Word back to God, He will grant them wishes that they can name & claim. Lord Help Us!!!

• 2nd Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Contents of this Book:

1. In Chapter One we will be reminded of who we are and why.
2. In Chapter Two we will learn of the various divisions of our church.
3. In Chapter Three we will be reminded as to what makes us so different from the rest.
4. In Chapter Four we will be reminded of those things we used to reject and should continue to reject.
5. In Chapter Five we will learn what the jobs of the church are and their purposes.
